Only an exhausting 4 hours later was our prestart meeting completed! and many extra $$$$$$ later......
Still not 100% convinced on some colour choices, but in reality don't think we ever will be until we see it all completed and put together.

Colour choices..... Argh!!!!!
We finally got our plans, yay!! Only one minor problem, they have written colorbond roof everywhere instead of tiled roof, but we have had the sales guy onto this pronto as Zoe hates colorbond!
So now we have the plans, we needed to make our serious colour choices before we got to the prestart meeting (which hopefully will be next week)
So off we went to homebase expo on a lovely Sunday to decide on bricks, roof tiles and kitchen cupboards.
Bricks: Geographe Limestone

Roof Tiles: Vienna Graphite

Next we had to brave the tile shops. Zoe not wanting to dwell on this long term and be undecisive, decided that we would go to the tile shop and not leave until we had every decision made! That being for both bathrooms, laundry and the kitchen splashback. After about 2 hours Shane's patience was wearing thin...but he managed to summon the motivation back and we finalised our decisions.....after about 3 hours!

An update about nothing...
For all those loyal followers out there desperate for an update......there's nothing much happening! Nothing visual anyway. Currently our plans & contracts are being drawn and we expect them to be in our hot little hands mid november ready to be sent to council for approval.

So currently we are spending endless hours looking at display homes & showrooms for colour ideas on everything!
We have been to visit our patch of sand and have found many new houses being built on our street, it's now beginning to look a little more interesting than sand as far as the eye can see!
Here is us standing in front of the block

Oohhhhh the first step
Today we received a letter from the builder informing us that the contour survey and engineers soil report will be done.
A small step I know, but it means that finally things are starting to happen!!

To build or not to build? The decision is made!
So Shane and Zoe need their first home......but where?!?! After much traipsing around yucky esablished homes and much discussion we have decided to build. A trip to the bank and a visit with the builder and we finally decided to take the plunge.
So we have put a hold on our block and chosen our house design. Now for the bank to give their seal of approval and we will be on our way!
Pics to be posted soon when all is finalised!
Hope you enjoy following the progress!
